I thought this day was still years away. How could I have been so wrong? Evie and Sophie are obsessed with talking on the phone. Or pretending to, anyway. And the many, many remote controls lying around make excellent "telephones."

The girls had their annual evaluations for the early intervention program, leading up to a meeting last week with their service coordinator and therapists. As a result, the girls have been discharged from speech therapy and developmental therapy because they just don't need them. We will continue with physical therapy and occupational therapy every other week to monitor the girls' progress and ensure that they stay on track. Overall, the therapists found the girls to be performing at or above age level (their actual age, not their adjusted age, which is a huge leap forward for the girls). The only area where they lag behind a bit is in the gross motor skills, but their physical therapist is comfortable with the progress they're making and says they're still within the "normal" range for their age. So all is well!

Sounds like the girls will be just fine. Look at their mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and two great aunts we were all less coordinated than our age normals, but our minds were sharp. When you are dealt a joker(OI) it sometimes is a goood as an ace.
I'm really glad I won't be paying their phone bills.
Why don't they talk that much when someone talks back? I guess remote controlls are better listeners than telephones are.
Hurray!
I remember spending hours at a time with their mom on the phone. It was great!

Great news! They have such great parents, no wonder they are thriving.
