The Shriners Hospital and the Hot Dog Shrine

Let me warn you in advance that Airan and I foolishly forgot to grab the camera this morning, so I have no new adorable twin pics for you. I apologize.

Sophia and Evelyn had their twice-yearly trip to the Shriners Hospital OI Clinic today. [In lieu of an actual picture, I ask you to imagine the twins in their adorable little hospital gowns for about thirty seconds before they decided they hated them and had to run around in their diapers instead.] The excellent medical staff checked the girls over and declared them to be looking good, with no cause for concern at this time. That's what we like to hear. We'll go back and (hopefully) hear more of the same in October. They did weigh the girls (and in doing so settled a disagreement between Airan and me): Sophia weighs 23 pounds, while Evelyn weighs 23.5 pounds. (I knew that kid weighed more than her sister -- it's all the cheese she eats.)

After the Shriners folks were done with us, we headed over to Hot Doug's for some hot dogs and fries (or bagel dogs and tater tots, depending on your age range). [Insert an image of adorable girls turning their noses up at bagel dogs and tater tots in favor of goldfish crackers and Kix. Crazy kids.] As always, the joint was hopping and the food was divine.

I don't know about those kids, but I'm exhausted. Is it nap time yet?

It's good to know they're doing well.
Give them both a kiss for me.

Sounds like their are great. Also a typical of 2 years old. You think you would get a break because their biological date isn't for almost 4 months.

I love when I hear the wonderful people at Shriners say that they're just fine! 23/23.5 pounds! Girlies, Alejandro is catching up to you!
