Update: Hippo has been found. And there was much rejoicing.

Tip - any chance you can buy a spare and beat it up enough to serve as a replacment? Alex has worn through a few blankies... thank heavens my mom still has the yarn and just keeps knitting away! Glad he was found!
We have a replica of Sophie's favorite puppy stashed away in the closet, ready in case of dire need, but we haven't stockpiled a backup hippo. Silly us! I was always more concerned about the puppy because the way Sophie carries him around, he always looks like his head is about to pop off. (I fear the day!)
I'm SOOO glad Hippo has returned. Did he have an interesting adventure?
