At the Zoo
We were at one of our favorite Chicago spots today, the Lincoln Park Zoo. We saw lots of animals, rode the carousel, and visited the site where, nearly two years ago, we had the girls' first birthday party. (Ah, yes -- 60 degrees and rain for an outdoor ice cream social birthday party. Good times.) Luckily, today's weather was delightful, if a bit cooler then we'd expected it to be. We had a lovely time exploring parts of the zoo we usually skip, including the reptile house and the farm. We even got to pet a snake! (No pics of that, sadly.)
These little Mary Poppins fiends went crazy for the merry-go-round. Too bad the animals were firmly fastened to the carousel.
They still look happy because they haven't yet figured out that the ride is over.

The zoo has some wild, exotic animals, like this rare "Holstein." See how the zoo broadens our horizons?

The girls take a break with Uncle David.
Stalling at the front gate -- we're exhausted, but we don't want to leave!

What a lovely day - and the ever present smiles plastered on the girls faces. Love the family pic...I never remember to take the time to do that...thanks for the reminder!
Could those girls be more beautiful?
I don't think so.
Oh, how much fun! Those girls look just like you. So beautiful. :-D
What a fun day! (And your hair looks great, Kel!)
